Grandma's favorite bakery for tea cakes is going out of business. For her birthday, I thought I would make some for her.

January 5th is National Keto Day. I have friends who sometimes follow a keto diet but still like their baked goods. With that in mind, decided to try the Keto Muffin Mix from King Arthur Baking.

Sitting around planning the New Year's Day meal, a thought occurred, we should have pie!  Of course, we didn't plan it so we had to scrounge the cabinets to see what we had to work with. 

For those holiday leftover sandwiches I thought I would bake one of my favorite breads, pumpernickel.

I love baking bread. I, however have not yet mastered sourdough...until now, maybe. 

It is holiday cookie baking season!  I am on it!
