Slice-and-Bake Holiday Confetti Cookies

A dozen butter cookies with nonpareils with focus on four on cooling rack.

It is holiday cookie baking season!  I am on it!

I made this one a couple of years ago and thought I would give it a try again. The recipe, Slice and Bake Holiday Confetti Cookies is from the BakefromScratch.com website. When I think of slice-and-bake I think of the tubes in the refrigerator section at the local grocery store. These are not that.

These cookies require refrigeration before baking so these are not as quick of a bake as chocolate chip cookies. A variation to try next time, adding Lemon Paste. I recently discovered this wonderous product for adding lemon flavor. Look for this to show up in future posts. I used Red, Green, and White nonpareils.

I made these cookies and shipped them out. I cannot keep these in the house, I will eat them all knowing I should only have one or two. The cookie recipients sent lots of "yums".
