Chocolate + Donut = Chocolate Donut Love?
We'll see as I try a chocolate donut mix.

I love chocolate. I love most things that are chocolate. I like donuts. Well, I have my moments when I want nothing more than a hot, gooey, glazed donut. I like the cake donuts where I can have a bit of both the cake and donut worlds. Combine all of that and I have a baked chocolate donut. I was restocking my baking ingredients and decided to try the King Arthur Baking Ultimate Chocolate Donut Mix

I don't use a lot of mixes because I am trying to up my skills as a scratch baker. But I couldn't resist giving this a go. I have to check but I believe this is my second time using my donut pan (woo hoo!). The mix makes 12 donuts or 4 dozen mini donuts. The mix comes in two bags which makes it easy to do a quick half batch. In addition to the mix, eggs, water and vegetable oil is needed.

The first thing that struck was the color. There is no doubt looking at these donuts that they are chocolate. The second is that they were not dry. They were moist and most of all, delicious! I made only 1 bag or 6 donuts which was perfect.
